Our Front Office / Hospitality Team is the heart of the Cal Strong family experience. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with children and families, communicates clearly, and thrives in a fast-paced, community-centered environment. You don’t need a gymnastics background — you just need to bring positivity, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help families feel welcomed and supported.
What You’ll Do
Greet families with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming environment from the moment they walk in
Assist with class check-ins, questions, membership information, and customer support
Manage phone calls, emails, and member inquiries with clarity and confidence
Support new families through enrollment and onboarding processes
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lobby and viewing areas
Process payments, registrations, and membership updates through our customer portal
Provide exceptional hospitality during events such as Camps, Kids Night In, and Open Gyms
Assist coaches and management with operational tasks as needed
Uphold Cal Strong’s values of safety, positivity, and community
Who You Are

Requirements
Must be 16+ years old
Must pass a background check
Weekend and evening availability preferred

About the Role
Department Lead Responsibilities
The Department Lead serves as the primary point of accountability for their program area (Kindergym, Recreational Gymnastics, Tumbling, Boys Team, Girls Team, etc.). Responsibilities include:
Overseeing daily operations of the department, ensuring classes run smoothly and safely.
Leading, mentoring, and supporting coaches assigned to the department.
Communicating with families regarding evaluations, progress, and program updates.
Coordinating schedules, make-ups, and event participation for their program.
Ensuring curriculum and lesson plans are being followed and updated as needed.
Monitoring equipment and facility needs specific to their department.
Reporting department updates, concerns, and successes directly to management.

About the Role
Our Team Coaches are leaders, mentors, and skill-builders for athletes who are committed to competitive gymnastics. You don’t just coach routines — you help shape strong, confident, resilient young people. This role is for someone who understands progression-based training, values safe and positive coaching, and thrives in a team-centered, growth-focused environment.
What You’ll Do
Coach competitive athletes (boys, girls, or both) using safe, proven progressions
Lead structured, engaging practices that build strength, flexibility, technique, and confidence
Develop season plans, event rotations, and individual athlete goals
Spot skills safely, consistently, and appropriately for each athlete’s level
Provide clear corrections, encouragement, and communication tailored to each gymnast
Attend competitions, support athletes at meets, and manage warm-ups and rotations
Communicate with families professionally regarding athlete progress and expectations
Collaborate with the coaching team to maintain consistency across all competitive levels
Uphold Cal Strong’s coaching standards, safety protocols, and culture expectations
Who You Are
Positive, professional, and passionate about developing young athletes
Experienced in competitive gymnastics (coaching or personal training background)
Knowledgeable in skill progressions, compulsory/optional routines, and meet structure
A strong communicator who values teamwork and consistency
Safety-focused and confident in spotting
Adaptable, patient, and able to maintain a motivating training environment
Committed to long-term athlete development and sportsmanship
Requirements
Prior gymnastics coaching or competitive gymnastics experience
USAG Professional Membership (or willingness to obtain)
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Must pass a background check
Availability for evening practices and weekend competitions
Ability to lift, spot, and move equipment as needed

About The Role
CLASS INSTRUCTORS
Class Instructors are the foundation of California Strong Athletics’ recreational programs. They are responsible for delivering safe, engaging, and fun gymnastics classes while ensuring every athlete feels supported and challenged. Responsibilities include:
Teaching recreational classes (Kindergym, gymnastics, tumbling, or specialty programs) using Cal Strong’s curriculum and progressions.
Actively spotting skills and maintaining a safe training environment.
Demonstrating skills, correcting technique, and motivating athletes through positive coaching.
Managing class flow, rotations, and transitions to keep students engaged.
Communicating with parents about student progress, class updates, and scheduling.
Assisting with class evaluations and athlete placements.
Supporting the setup, breakdown, and upkeep of equipment during classes.
